So, here’s what Brooklyn Vegan did. They rushed to build and promote a post around a tweet saying that Bill Doss of Olivia Tremor Control has died. Then, their Chicago affiliate RTed the link and expressed the hope that the New York site was spreading an untrue rumor. Indie rock press, can we maybe be a little less tabloid-y in covering the deaths of artists who are hugely worthy of our respect?
